MORE ABOUT ALAN P. ZOVAR

Alan P. Zovar, P.T. is a highly experienced and deeply respected holistic physical therapist and ergonomic consultant with more than 40 years of dedicated service in the field of physical rehabilitation and occupational health. Over the course of his distinguished career, Alan has developed a comprehensive and integrative approach to physical therapy that goes far beyond conventional treatment models. His work is rooted in the belief that true healing requires a deep understanding of the body, mind, and environment—and how these elements interact to impact a person's overall health and functionality.

Alan’s career spans both clinical and corporate settings. He spent over 20 years running a successful private practice, where he provided individualized, hands-on care to a diverse population of clients dealing with chronic pain, musculoskeletal injuries, mobility challenges, and post-surgical recovery. In this role, he emphasized not only rehabilitation but also long-term wellness, prevention, and lifestyle education. His holistic methodology incorporates elements of movement science, body mechanics, functional exercise, mindfulness, and education to empower clients in their healing process and reduce the likelihood of future injuries.

In addition to his private practice work, Alan spent 15 years working in occupational medicine, where he focused on the unique physical demands placed on employees across a variety of industries. During this time, he provided on-site ergonomic assessments, injury prevention programs, workplace wellness initiatives, and post-injury rehabilitation services. His experience in this sector has given him a unique ability to bridge the gap between individual care and organizational well-being—creating environments that are safer, more productive, and more supportive of physical health.

A core focus of Alan’s practice is fall and injury prevention, particularly among older adults and at-risk populations. Drawing on his vast clinical knowledge and hands-on experience, he designs and implements personalized strategies that improve balance, strength, and coordination—helping clients maintain their independence and confidence in daily life. He is also well-versed in pain management, offering non-invasive, evidence-based therapies that reduce reliance on medication and support the body's natural healing processes.

Alan’s expertise in ergonomic consulting allows him to assess and redesign workspaces in ways that promote comfort, efficiency, and safety. He works closely with employers, HR professionals, and safety teams to develop customized solutions that reduce strain, prevent repetitive stress injuries, and enhance overall worker satisfaction. His ergonomic interventions are informed by both scientific research and real-world outcomes, ensuring they are practical, effective, and sustainable.

Throughout his career, Alan has remained committed to continued education and professional development, regularly attending workshops, training programs, and conferences in the fields of physical therapy, occupational health, ergonomics, and holistic healing. His dedication to learning and innovation ensures that his clients benefit from the most current and effective therapeutic techniques available.

Above all, Alan is known for his compassionate, client-centered approach. Whether working one-on-one with a patient recovering from injury or consulting with a large organization on workplace wellness, he brings deep listening, thoughtful analysis, and a genuine commitment to improving lives. His work is not just about treatment—it’s about transformation, education, and empowerment.
